    What we collect

    • Account data: email, hashed password, subscription status.
    • Usage data: videos you watch, search queries, and keyword tags, used to operate the Service and enforce plan limits.
    • Billing data: processed by our payment provider. We never store full card numbers.
    • Technical data: IP address, user agent, and error logs for debugging and abuse prevention.

    How we use it

    We use your data to (a) deliver and improve the Service, (b) process payments, (c) respond to your contact and feedback submissions, and (d) comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal data.

    Transcripts

    Transcripts are generated from public YouTube audio. We store them on our servers so that other users watching the same stream receive historical context. Transcripts do not contain personal data about you.

    Local storage

    Keyword highlight tags are stored in your browser's local storage and never leave your device unless you explicitly sync them.

    Third-party processors

    We use third parties to run our service, including a speech-to-text provider, a payment processor, and email delivery for support and feedback. Each processor handles data under their own published terms.

    Your rights

    You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by writing to us via the contact form. You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard.

    Retention

    We retain account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

    Security

    We use industry-standard security practices, including encrypted transport and hashed password storage. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute protection.

    Children

    LiveScript is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

    We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
